Pro Life Organizations

Pro life organizations are very active in their support of the baby’s right to live and to grow up regardless of where they began.

Trying to Educate Mothers

Many pro life organizations are focused on education first because many new moms to be just don’t have the right information in their homes. They don’t know about the medical risks of abortions and they don’t necessarily understand how their lives might change after having a kid – and that this can be okay too. When a woman comes into a pro life organization, they can expect to be given literature which will show them how large their child is, what might happen if they have an abortion, and they will learn what the moral ramifications might be, if the mother is concerned about her soul and her ticket into heaven.

Finding Resources for Moms

But the truth remains that many moms just don’t have the resources to raise a child, even if they want to do so. At pro life organizations, they would hard to help the mother learn what resources are readily available to them:

  • Giving up the child for adoption
  • Welfare
  • WIC programs
  • State assistance in other forms
  • Housing for new moms

There are many ways in which a new mom might be supported in her unexpected pregnancy. And the pro life center can help to show the mom that she’s actually not as alone as she might feel.

Protesting Pro Choice Protests and Abortion Clinics

Political activism is another large role of pro life organizations as spreading the word about pro life concerns is paramount when changing the laws is the goal. In order to overturn Roe vs. Wade, pro life activists will march and picket at abortion clinics, discuss their concerns with government officials, and create large scale pro life campaigns to ensure that certain pro life officials get elected into office.

It’s a lot of work to be a pro life organization, lots of hats to take on, especially when this group is fighting against a law that has been in place for decades.
